Sister's Baby Shower

Here is a glimpse into the baby shower I threw for my beautiful sister, Carrie. We had a wonderful time. She got a crazy amount of beautiful clothes and baby accessories from her friends and family. Now all we have to do is wait for Dominick or Mateo (whichever name she chooses) to make his appearance!
Inspiration for shower; invitations, salt & pepper shakers, and fabric for table.
Tissue paper pompoms I made thanks to Martha Stewart.
Gift for Guests
Mom and 2 week old baby Tabitha.

Ever-changing

Here is a montage of my ever-changing Swedish armoire. I rearrange the accessories on this piece of furniture almost daily. I always read that a design enthusiast cannot leave their furniture or accessories in one place for too long. That is certainly the case at my house!

Thank You Mom!!!!

Words cannot express how thankful I am for my awesome and amazing mother! She helps me out in so many ways and I don't know how I would survive without her. Lately I have been overwhelmed with my husband working out of town and being trapped inside my house with three kids due to the snow. My Mom thought I needed cheering up so she bought me I Married Adventure. She read my previous blog post about the book and went on Ebay to purchase it for me. I am deliriously happy with my gift. No matter what though, I am truly blessed to have my mother help me navigate through these tough times!

New Additions

Here is a glimpse of a two new things I've purchased recently. I am trying to spruce up my home for a baby-shower I am hosting for my sister in two weeks. I got the owls from High Street Market. I love this blog and am constantly checking it for new items at her Etsy store. The wreath is from Target. Not too exciting but I thought I would share.

Happy Valentines Day

Johanna has been home from school for over three weeks due to snow days and teacher workdays. To occupy her time, she has been working on home-made Valentines. She gets about four made a day. She loves glitter and glue and this causes about three times the amount of time to clean up compared to making them. I don't mind though. She is happy and content and it steers her away from the ever looming television. We have also been baking. I am eating my way through these days home.

I Married Adventure

I have been trying to get my hands on I Married Adventure by Osa Johnson for quite some time. It seems that every time I try to get one off Ebay, I get outbid. It also appears that this book is popping up in every shelter magazine imaginable. I counted it twice in Lonny in separate articles. Basically, I want this book based on aesthetics alone. Do I need the book? No! Maybe I will be browsing McKay's Used Books one day and happen upon the book.
